Adult Piano Lessons – Start at Any Age

Many of our piano students are adults: complete beginners, people returning after years away, and pianists who want to play for stress relief or performance. Lessons follow your goals – classical pieces, pop and film songs, or exam preparation if you want a target. The studio is open on weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends.

Piano Lessons for Kids – Starting at Age 3

Children can start piano from age 3 with our Suzuki program, or from age 5–6 with traditional private lessons. Little ones learn through listening, short activities and games; school-age students build steady technique and move through the first AMEB grades. Parents are welcome to sit in. Your teacher will advise on whether to start on a piano or a weighted-key digital piano at home.

Piano Lessons for Teens & VCE Students

Teenagers can work towards AMEB exams or VCE Music Performance, or simply learn the pop, film and contemporary songs they love, with the technique and theory to play them well.

Suzuki Piano, AMEB & VCE Music

Every student follows a clear pathway – from first notes to exams, performances or playing for fun.

Suzuki Piano Lessons for Young Beginners (Ages 3–6)

We offer Suzuki piano lessons in Hampton for children aged 3 to 6. Developed by Shinichi Suzuki, the "mother-tongue approach" teaches music the way children learn to speak – by listening, imitating and repeating, with the family involved at every step.

  • Listening first: children learn to play by ear and develop a good sense of pitch before they read music.
  • Parent as home teacher: a parent attends lessons and guides daily practice.
  • A gentle start: short, playful lessons build good tone and hand position from day one, and note reading comes once playing feels natural.
